The workshop follows on the Introduction and Overview workshop and focus exclusively on the competitive intelligence process or the intelligence cycle, specifically on the planning and collection phases.
Gathering good information on a competitor's capabilities, plans, tactics, development and intentions is an ongoing process which has as its main aim to increase the value of information critical on all levels of decision making.
The workshop includes a brief history of intelligence through ancient times, the middle ages, modern times and the information age.

The workshop is presented over two working days.
The workshop comprises many practical exercises and students are expected to partake in these exercises to hone and practice their collection skills.
The workshop is not assessed in any way and a certificate of attendance will be issued on successful completion of the programme.
The workshop is recommended for those who will actively be involved in the collection of information for their companies.
