Competitive Intelligence Analysis Techniques Workshop

The focus of this workshop is on competitive analysis. Attendees will learn how, why and under what circumstances various analytical tools and techniques are used to produce intelligence to provide executives and managers with actionable insight and foresight. Practical exercise will be used to help attendees refine their skills!

Without the intellectual process of analysis, competitive intelligence may boil down to the process of gathering information for the sake of knowledge and knowledge management. Analysis leads to the interpretation of information in support of strategy and other business goals.

Analysis is one of the more difficult business roles to perform. Analysis is a step in the competitive intelligence process where data and information is turned into intelligence, answering the critical "so what?" issue that brings insight to bear directly on the decision-maker's needs.

The workshop provides an overview of intelligence analysis in business and review a number of different intelligence analysis techniques. Using case studies, participants will work in groups to practice analytical techniques covered in the workshop.

The workshop is presented over three working days and involves pre-workshop reading and preparation. Attendees are divided into syndicates and are required to do practical work as well as after hour syndication work on the first day of the workshop.

The workshop is accredited by the Intelligence and Counterintelligence Academy (IACA).
